The Bendigo and District Concert Band have been performing in central and regional Victoria for 20 years.

Well done to everyone for their efforts yesterday. A big thanks to Hannah and Trev for sitting in and helping out in the trumpet line. Also Welcome to Carol making her debut performance with the band also.

Once again, Bendigo Coachlines are supporting the Bendigo & District Concert Band in their efforts.
Bendigo Coachlines have graciously donated coaches and drivers to collect members of the public and bring them to our Spring Gala Concert on the 23rd of October.
We once again thank them for their support with our concert.

Bendigo Easter Festival

This year the band has once again stepped up its participation in the Bendigo Easter Festival.
Good Friday saw us perform at the Dai Gum San Chinese precint. This was the first time this area has been used, rather than Lake Weeroona. The band put in an excellent performance and entertained the crowd as they came and went.

Sunday saw the band take part in the Gala Parade. All members thoroughly enjoyed themselves playing Everybody Needs Somebody, from The Blues Brothers, as well as the odd interlude of 'The Grand Old Duke of York!

The Bendigo & District Concert Band marching in this years Easter Gala Parade. Congratulations to all involved. There were many compliments about the band and the music we played. It was also fantastic to hear compliments about our drumline from a number of the other groups. Well done Mick, Turps Shan and Don! Also congratulations to Fin and Shan on their first Easter march!

Australia Day 2010

Once again, the Bendigo & Districto Concert Band entertained the crowds at Australia Day Celebrations at Lake Weeroona. The crowd were very appreciative of our mix of Australiana and Jazz and Swing numbers. Special mention should be made for the days soloists Ben, Shae and Simon who did a fantastic job at their respective solos throughout the day.

Epsom Carols

Despite a late minute change of venue, we managed to do all the usual Epsom Huntly Lions Carols. This year we had.. WIND!! But al least Santa arrived on time!!

As I type, there are several new charts hopefully winging their way from the US. The favourable Aussie Dollar has really meant we can take some advantage of the savings which can be made.
So far the list contains the following items.

A Touch of Christmas: Suite 1
Embraceable You
But Not for Me
Firebird Suite

There is also a second order which contains
The Devil Went Down to Georgia
Holsts First suite in Eb
The Lone Ar-Ranger.
